    Description

    Vintage 1985 Mongoose City Bike 19" frameset. Wheelset is pictured only to show frame clearance, and to hold the frame for photos! Not included with sale. Pictured tires are Bontrager Hank 26" x 2.2" and DO FIT the frame and fork. WHEELS AND TIRES ARE NOT INCLUDED!!
    Classic mid 1980s 26" cruiser/klunker. Frameset is in excellent condition. Spent most of its life in storage. No dents, dings, bends, cracks, rewelds, etc. Dropouts have been checked for alignment. Original headset and bottom bracket are clean and turn smoothly. Both would benefit from some fresh grease after nearly 40 years. Paint is overall very clean with a few scrapes and scratches, consistent with age. There is very minor marring from a kickstand.
    19" frame measures 48cm c-t-c and 50cm-c-t-t (seat tube) and 58cm c-t-t top tube. Spacing is 126mm rear, 100mm front. Wheelbase is ~110cm. Fits cantilever or V-brakes. Fits a 25.0mm seatpost. I will include the original steel candlestick seatpost (not pictured in photos.) Frame fits 21.1mm/0.833" stems. Includes seat binder bolt for frame.
    Horizontal dropouts. Double eyelets front and rear. Double cage mounts. Fork blades also have eyelets for mounting lowrider racks. Large clearances and lots of braze-ons mean build versatility!
