Description
TheFlanders Scientific XM651U 64.5" UHD OLED Monitor with 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI Inputs
is a professional reference monitor designed for color critical monitoring of 4K, UHD, and HD signals. It features the latest large format OLED panel technology, offering outstanding black levels and overall picture performance. The XM651U is well equipped for SDR content mastering as well as PQ and HLG HDR monitoring.
Connectivity
12Gbps SDI connections greatly simplify room design by allowing you to feed 4K and UHD signals to the display over a single cable. Quad 1.5Gbps and 3Gbps SDI connectivity are also supported in both 2SI and Square Division based variations ensuring compatibility with practically any type of 4K or UHD output. The XM651U supports advanced 12bit 4:4:4 YCbCr, RGB, and XYZ signals setting it apart from less advanced monitoring solutions.
The XM651U features the unique ability to simultaneously supply a clean 12G/6G loop through and real-time down converted 3G or 1.5G output. Any incoming single link 4K or UHD signals can be converted to 2K or HD outputs for downstream HD monitors or scopes, all without needing any standalone down conversion equipment.
Remote Control
The IP Remote Utility
can be used to remotely toggle functions, switch inputs, and navigate the menu on Flanders Scientific monitors using your Mac or PC's keyboard, mouse or control panel (also available for iOS devices).
Native UHD Resolution
The 64.5" XM651U is a true UHD resolution monitor (3840 x 2160) that supports full screen viewing of HD, Ultra HD, and 4K content.
Advanced Signal Status Detection
XM series monitors automatically read payload ID (VPID) information embedded in SDI signals and lock to the signal accordingly. This information can also be temporarily displayed whenever a format change is detected, so you can be sure that what you intend to output to the monitor is what the monitor receives.
A VPID override toggle is also provided allowing users to manually configure the monitor in instances where the payload ID may be missing or incorrect.
Two Deinterlace Options
View interlaced video with correct field order or combine fields and display interlaced signals as progressive.
HD To UHD Upscaling
HD content is displayed without interpolation by representing every pixel from the incoming source as four pixels on the panel. This allows for accurate signal representation on screen by avoiding interpolation methods that might mask or omit image issues.
On-set Color Management
While certainly at home in a post-production setting, the XM651U is also equipped with features and capabilities making it ideal for large format on-set monitoring. Direct compatibility with on set color applications like LiveGrade Pro, Prelight, FireDay, and FirePlay (sold separately) allow for real time color manipulation without the need for a standalone 4K LUT box.
Multi-cam Monitoring
The XM651U is ideal for multi-cam monitoring applications with support for simultaneous viewing of up to four genlocked HD feeds and the additional ability to view any feed full screen as needed.
Scopes
The XM651U comes equipped with 4K compatible real-time waveform and vector scope.
LUM Coloring (Customizable Exposure Check)
Four adjustment points from 0-100% allow you to establish specific target areas to be shown in false color or greyscale.
Markers
Choose from a wide assortment of standard markers and safety areas that can be displayed as lines, translucent overlays, or solid overlays. Lines and overlays have selectable colors for instant customization.
Advanced LUT Processing Options
XM Series monitors have the unique ability to process 3D LUTs using your choice of trilinear or tetrahedral interpolation. Trilinear LUT interpolation is very common and having this option allows you to process LUTs as they will frequently be seen elsewhere. More advanced tetrahedral LUT interpolation, while not as ubiquitous, allows for a higher degree of precision with better on screen performance.
