As seen in Scan #1, this listing is an Esterbrook fountain pen. Given its various details and design characteristics, the pen appears to be a "J Series ~ Transitional" pen.  The pen is black in color, is fitted with a #2788 nib, and has a spade-type filler.
Imprinted on the barrel in ornate script lettering is the name,

; and, below that in small, block letters is the wording
"
MADE IN U.S.A.
"
. The name is positioned on the pocket clip and atop the cap is the black, ribbed jewel.

As is the case with all of the vintage writing instruments I offer for bidding, this pen was recently acquired at a local estate sale. I have not tried to fill the pen or use it; however, I did manually dip the nib in ink and as seen in Scan #4 it produced a fine written specimen.
