    Description

    RARE
Antique ARTCRAFT SPECIALTY CO BRONZE POWDER/COPPER GLASS VILE w/CORK 1920's Vintage. This Product was made by Artcraft Specialty Co of Cleveland Ohio in the mid to later 1920's. Trying to research it was very difficult, the only reference I could find was from the US Patent Office showing a referenced Serial Number 261.245 & 271.420 to it. In that it references the Bronze Powder which shows up on the Tubes Label, accordingly COPPER also appears on the center of the Label. The Label appears to be made of Leather, time has weakened some of it's printing but everything pretty much is still there. The words do stand out a little better than my photos, the curved surface and reflection made focusing difficult, but still came out pretty well. The Glass Vile is in excellent condition and Measures 4" by 5/8" less the Cork, which is Original. My Great Grandfather had it, don't know why. The product is certainly still coated inside the tube and the unexposed Cork, though mostly emptied. When they call it Bronze Powder...by the Powder on the Cork bottom, it certainly is a a Very Finely Granulated Powder. I'm quite certain it's intended use was as a additive to certain paints, and probably varnishes of the day. To the right kind of Collector I would think it a Wonderful Find, as its Labeled Product Artcraft Specialty Co, and or for its Wonderful Vintage Glass Vile/Tube and Cork. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Any order will find it more than safley packaged, thank you for your time and interest in my Great Grandfather's really Old Vile of Artcraft Specialty Co Bronze Powder... Bruce.
