These chairs are not recliners. These chairs do not have footrests. Rather the back of the seat reclines, it glides back, and the seat returns to the upright position when you sit up. VERY comfortable.
The advantage to this is that the chair does not need 6 feet of depth floor space!

The only reason that these chairs are being replaced at the theater is because a competing theater nearby put in all recliners. The theater owner has to respond by replacing his perfectly good glider chairs. These chairs are 0 new, and that is if you bought them in a quantity of 500 chairs.
